Nearly done. Just waiting on Mr Bahn!! and others!!
This is as far as i got after 2 years, and nearly selling her for £700!
That was 3 weeks ago.
This how close she is now to being finished.
I like the old syle tank screw on emblems, but as you can see, this tank can't be fitted with them!!!
Oh yes it can!
What do you all think?

Hi Chas.
It is indeed a really nice Yamaha you have made.
And so it is indeed very easy to know from the others.
Regards Kim.

Thankyou very much for your kind words.
I think it is starting to look very nice, but, there was a time, in a moment of madness, that i thought that a rectangular headlight was the way to go.
I'm glad i changed my mind!

The red was just a high build primer, but it gave me an idea as to what parts would look good painted in the same colour.

Actually, the badges have a really strong adhesive on the back when you buy them. Once stuck, they don't come off very easily.
I used the super glue to stick the screw heads on!!

Well, thanks to my mate Morten Bahn, i now have a working tacho!!
Then he tells me that the tacho came from T Hansens
and that explains why the needle dances all over the dial as if it were at a rave!!
Still, it gives a rough indication as to the rpm at tickover, provided no other electrics are on
