Hi, i would like to introduce myself here.
First of all, my name is Tom, i'm 22 years old and i study Automotive Engineering (@ bachelor level, i've already got my bachelor degree mechanical engineering). One of my hobby's is my FS1. I've bought my fizzy when i was 17 (before that, i had a Kreidler, stupid german piece of junk ). I've restored it completly with my dad a couple of years ago.
Engine setup:
-43mm FS1 cilinder, tuned by myself (not to extreme)
-16mm mikuni
-reed valve inlet with carbon reed's (i also have a rotating valve engine, but reed valve runs better, wider powerband etc)
-Homoet exhaust
-13/39 gear ratio
Top speed: 90 km/h on my GPS (with the best possible conditions), but normally it runs 85 km/h quite easily.
I'm planning to buy a 5-speed engine this winter, and to fix a Selettra inner-rotor ignition (already got it, and modified it to fix it on a fizzy-engine) from a Rotax racing kart. Also I think i'm getting my cylinder bored up to 43,5mm with a new piston (piston clearance is to big now... the compression can be better).
Here are some pictures:

Also i like to experiment with tuning, but sometimes it goes wrong, and you get something like this

I've milled down the cilinderhead too far, as a result i've had too much compression and the engine started to detonate...

Work in progres...
Modified Selettra ignition:

It fits!!!
A specially tuned cilinder, i got it from a forum member of our fizzy forum:
I also restored my sisters boyfriend FS1 last year (see pictures). It runs about 85 km/h with a 43mm FS1 cilinder, 16mm and also Homoet exhaust.
